Pathways to Growth
Even when we know it is right for them, choosing an alternative education pathway for our children is an often overwhelming and daunting process. These feelings can be especially difficult to navigate when we feel alone in our plight. Pathways to Growth is Pathfinder’s complementary service to support families and make sure that each child in and beyond our community is on the right track.
Pathways to Growth Offers:
-
Info Sessions
Info sessions are free to the public and provide a valuable resource for homeschooling and alternative schooling families to ensure they are on the right track with their child’s education. These sessions offer guidance on meeting academic requirements, navigating educational standards, and tailoring pathways to each child’s unique goals.
-
Individual Planning Sessions
Individual pathway planning sessions are complementary to families with children enrolled in Pathfinders STEAM sessions. These personalized meetings help families map out the most beneficial session sequences and ensure their children are taking the specific classes needed to fulfill their personal academic and career aspirations.
Why Pathways?
Through our free info sessions and personalized planning meetings, we empower families to make informed decisions that align with their child’s goals while meeting critical academic and career benchmarks.
Pathways to Growth provides expert guidance to prevent missed, repeated, or out-of-sequence classes, creating a seamless and effective pathway for each student. With our support, families can confidently navigate alternative education and set their children up for long-term success.

We understand that every child is unique, and our recommendations are rooted in a combination of state standards and grade-level placement to ensure a strong academic foundation. These recommendations are then refined to meet the specific needs of your child and family.
To tailor our guidance, we use a combination of placement tests and family and child interviews to evaluate course fitness based on two primary metrics: what best suits the long-term goals of the child and family, and what requirements are necessary for them to achieve those goals. By balancing these considerations, we ensure that your child is on the most effective pathway to success, whether they’re pursuing higher education, career readiness, or some blend of the two.
