Support Assistant &
Urban Garden Specialist
Phoenix House is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Assistant & Urban Garden Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing care to infants and children ages 0-5 and possess a refined passion for urban farming or gardening.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with infants and children ages 0-5.
Minimum of 12 ECE credits from an accredited college or university. Higher ed degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and engage a mixed age cohort in an early childhood setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with other teachers and staff members.
Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Possession of a pristine driving record.
CPR/First-Aid Certified or willingness to become certified before August 2024.
Non-smoking.
$28/hour plus milage reimbursement
